My Background
I started my journey in music at age 7, when I sang a Disney song in my school's talent show! Soon after, I began piano lessons and music has been the most important part of my life ever since. I sang in jazz choir, participated in singing competitions, took lessons in classical and popular piano and played the flute in band throughout high school. As a Music Education major at Western Washington University, I relished the opportunity to learn all kinds of instruments, perfect my teaching practice, and participate in life-changing performances as a soloist, pianist and choral singer. I feel the blessing and responsibility of passing along what I've learned from incredible music teachers who changed my life!
I began my career teaching music in Quito, Ecuador, where I directed an a cappella choir, volunteered in local music programs and orphanages, and won a song-writing contest. This experience allowed me to immerse myself in Ecuadorian music and gain a deep appreciation for music of other cultures. I was also able to teach and accompany advanced students at a local university.

Since moving back to the Pacific Northwest, I've enjoyed crafting music lessons to fit diverse learners in public schools and bilingual preschools. I've been teaching music lessons online for 4 years now and the opportunity to teach a wide variety of learners, from preschoolers to retirees, never ceases to energize me. I'm most inspired when I get to teach students with unique needs, including Autism, Down syndrome, and English language learners. I'm confident that every student can learn and enjoy music and I get excited about creating lessons that fit each one!
